This month because its spring I thought it was a good time to spring clean our lymph system though probably we should be doing it a  bit more often than once a year  !!! So when you read up on how to cleanse or detox your lymph system there is one thing that keeps being recommended even by our own Dr Karen Herbst and that is certain fruit and vegetables.

Why? Because our body needs to be able to get rid of toxins with foods which contain high levels of nutrients, these nutrients assist in moving toxins out of the body, as well as keeping your body healthy and functioning properly. A bit of chocolate cake does not fall under this category.  Vegetables Juices do, I have given you three to get started but once you get the bug you can make your own mixes up. I use a blender to make them.

Fruit Herbs and Vegetables that are known to cleanse your lymph are
• Kale
• Chard
• Spinach
• Avocado
• Beetroot
• Ginger
• Lemon and Lime
• Parsley and Coriander

My personal favourite is the Lymphatic Zing , the Lymphatic cleanse certainly does what it says on the tin you may find yourself visiting the toilet a bit more often than usual .

Spring Clean with Lymphatic Cleansing

Tips on preparing juices

Try and buy fresh organic vegetables, Wash all vegetables and fruits before making the juice , peel all rind of lemons and limes, to juice small leaves roll them up into a ball to compact leaves. Once made store any excess covered in the Fridge use within one day.


1  peeled  and de stoned Avocado
Piece of peeled  Ginger
2 Sticks of Celery
½ Cucumber
1 Lime

3 Kale Leaves
½ Cucumber
2 Celery Stalks
½ Lemon
Piece of peeled  Ginger

½  Fresh medium  peeled Beetroot
1 Green Apple
2 Sticks of Celery
Handful of Parsley
